Hey all! It's Spring already!! Time can sure get away from you if you aren't paying attention. I've been hard at work catching up with all the videos I had made last year and didn't finish editing. If you follow my Youtube channel you'll no doubt have already noticed the sudden influx of videos. My anxiety is slowing getting better which is fortunate since Sylvia seems to be determined to make more day trips this year whether I'm ready or not! Anyways, I've been getting my geek on it seems. If you ever played Super Mario Bros then this is for you! As I was doing this I remembered how much I really enjoy painting. So I will definitely be trying to do more of that. I often feel like I have a lot of ideas and not a lot of time or energy to do them. But at least I've always got something I can be doing. I'm never bored that's for sure!

Hey all! Hope you had a wonderful Earth Day! I like to spend that day in nature if at all possible. It's also a great day because it's the day I was born. No wonder I'm a nature girl! But it doesn't have to be Earth Day for you to appreciate this beautiful green and blue planet we live on. You can do something for the Earth or involving the Earth every day. Whether it be going outside or recycling it's up to you. Sometimes on my nature walks I come across really cool looking rocks. I'm sure you have too. Maybe you are a rock collector. If you aren't you might want to start collecting a few because there is a cute little craft you can do with them. You'll also love this if you are a fan of puns. ;) Anyways, I cooked up another DIY experiment which you can follow along with here: Happy crafting!!
I hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day. I enjoyed a nice warm, snuggly afternoon inside while watching the snow flurry outside. Too often I feel what's important about this holiday is lost. Like Christmas the focus is usually rather commercial. Because of this many people can feel lost and alone which is not what a holiday should be. It's not about if you have a significant other, rather I think it's about love in general. Love for your friends, your family, your pets, and yourself. So I like to spread little notes of love every year for this. Last year I crocheted heart shaped flowers, attached an encouragement, and then "planted" them along a nature path. This year I decided to create envelopes out of hearts to write the encouraging messages inside. In doing so I hope that I have brightened someone's day when they might otherwise be feeling the pressures of how Valentine's is advertised. If you'd like to follow along with the process and try it out yourself, here is the vlog for this year's Valentine's Day: You can also view the previous year's vlog here: If you don't follow me on Facebook and Youtube....WHY THE HECK NOT?! Just kidding. But you may have missed my latest craft experiment. Anyone with slippery hardwood floors will appreciate this one and if you don't have hardwood floors these babies also prove useful when wearing boots. What on Earth am I talking about? No-Slip Socks!!! Whether you're a frequent floor glider or have constant sock slippage in your boots, these may be a solution for you. The best part is that you can easily make them yourself. Jeez, I sound like I'm make some sort of sales pitch....Haha. If you're interested you can view the experiment here: Happy Crafting!!!
This time I've got a few crafty things for you all to check out! No I didn't take a long nap last month, I was in fact working on some things. ;) One of which was a care package for my friend Jackielantern. I had been planning it for several months. More like half a year really...oops...but she had invited me to do a Blacklight Run with her. So I knew it was now or never to get the package done! If you've never heard of the Legend of Zelda series then you may find yourself to be a little lost. Nevertheless, I created a vlog that shows my processes for how I created the package. So if you wanted to make something similar with a different theme it should be very helpful. You can view the vlog here: One of the items in the care package was a D.I.Y. mug. You can design your own mug using oil based sharpie markers! I got the idea from a Pinterest pin found here You can also watch me test out the process in an Emi Tests It craft video here: Have fun and happy crafting!
