I've been cooking up some new crochet recipes lately. I've never been very good at cooking but it seems like culinarizing yarn is a lot more fun. Definitely not easy, but very rewarding!
Anyway, this summer I hope to be able to attend some craft shows. When I do, you can bet there will lots of "goodies" at my table. Not just food related of course. =) More details later. Stay tuned!

So I had to wash one of my hats the other day (things get dirty when you wear them all the time!) and it occurred to me that I should make a little how-to video for crochet washing. If you're like me, you don't save the labels that the yarn came with that actually tells you how to wash the stuff. Or you got your crocheted item from a friend or maybe you bought it from me (thank you!) and you no longer know where the washing instructions are. Either way, you want to wash your item but you're afraid to ruin it. So I made a visual guide! However, I must tell you not to use this method if you know your crochet was done with any kind of animal hair like wool or alpaca. Unfortunately, those need to be washed by hand. Otherwise, enjoy! Also, when I revamp the site this little guide will be easily accessible on my store page. So you will never have to panic about washing your crocheted items again!
I can't believe it is February already! This morning I felt super productive and I finally finished my ribbed arm warmers. When I revamp the shop these will be in there along with the infinity scarf and slouchy hat. Also, can you tell that purple is my favorite color?
I was also fiddling around with my camera today and found some features I didn't know about or couldn't find. So I expect to be having some creative fun with that too. Now if only I could find a well lit and uncluttered area of the house to take pictures in! |
