Sometimes I wish I had a clone. Or at least two more pairs of arms. But then buying clothing would be a little difficult...
I have so many ideas that I feel like I can't get to them fast enough. I want to get everything done right now! But rushing things never turns out well. At least not for me. And then I wonder why I'm in such a hurry anyways? Life seems so fast paced. So much so that we get mad when the car in front of us doesn't move the second the light turns green. Or we can't wait for someone in the supermarket to move before we reach into their faces just to get something. We are constantly in a rush. It almost feels like there is a ticking time bomb on our shoulder. You can feel it ticking away and you have to complete all your tasks before it reaches zero. Why is this?! When did things become so tense?! Today I was thinking... I shouldn't wait until April. I should just start putting things up in my store now as I get them done. I was feeling that little bomb on my shoulder! But the reason I haven't is because I feel it is important that it looks nice and is easy for all of you to pick out what you want and need. I have so many things I am planning. Change is coming! Which is why I am waiting until April. If you are still with me, don't worry. Take a deep breath. Things are going to get exciting! Things are happening behind the scenes. I feel like I need some sort of movie trailer...

What's interesting about crochet is that it can't be mass made. There is something called a crochet machine but it is the same thing as a knitting machine. If you want something with that special handmade crochet look, it has to be done by hand. So if you ever see anything in the store that looks like it was crocheted by hand then it was! This means that someone actually had to put time and effort into it. Pretty amazing considering how many things are mass made by machines these days! This goes for anything else handmade too. Think of the love and care that went into something made by a real person. It's not just crochet or knitting. It can be baking, woodworking, pottery, metalworking, and so on. I see a lot of people who do not like their jobs and are pretty miserable and it makes me very sad. That is why we all need hobbies. But if you think about it, things that we consider hobbies and creative outlets used to be a way of life. Maybe that is why so many people are unhappy. They can't do what they love because machines have taken over. Not only that but people who do craft have to compete with them! So be sure to show your fellow crafters some encouragement when you can! Crafting is not easy, but it is worth it. And so I will leave you with a little demonstration. =) P.S. This was an original hat pattern created by me. So expect to see it in my store starting in April!
When I was a little kid I always used to imagine stuff I wanted to do. But I never did it! I think this was because I was afraid that I'd look stupid. I didn't even consider that I could fail. I just didn't want to be made fun of. Now I think: How sad is that?! I didn't share what I loved to do because I was embarrassed? Really?! And because I stifled it I was never really sure WHAT I liked to do. Anyways, now that I've discovered my niche, I don't want to make that same mistake now. Because you never know where what you enjoy may take you. Even if it doesn't take you far, it will most definitely take you and others that share your passion to a better mood. And being in a better mood makes life brighter! So far this year (2014, woot!!) I've already come up with four original items for my store and I'm super excited to share them! Here's a little preview of what's to come: I've also got a huge yarnbombing project I'm working on complete with video. Buuuuttt.....that's probably going to take me a few months to complete. However, stay tuned on my facebook page to see a preview clip from that in a couple weeks.
As always, thanks for your support! =) Last year was a little rough. But in spite of that I accomplished a LOT! Watch the video to see a recap. (Psst, it's my Youtube debut!) This year I plan to do many crochet "stunts"! As always, thank you all for your support and stay tuned for more. =)
