Wow it's been a long while since I last blogged... Going to be honest here, things have not been so great. As someone who has been working in retail for a number of years, this time of year gets very depressing for me. When you are bombarded by just how commercial the holidays are every day it really takes the magic and joy out of it. Not only that but the politics this year have many people, including myself, in various states of anxiety and fear. Needless to say I've been having crippling panic attacks. The same ones in fact, that I had in 2013 when I started this site. But I haven't given up! One of the things I've been trying to do this year to counter my very strong desire to just hide in the house, is to go to concerts. I got tickets to see Lindsey Stirling again with my friend Jackie and then she got us tickets to go see the Legend of Zelda Symphony Orchestra! Those of you that have been following me this year will know that it was our milestone year of turning 30. Omg we're so old! Just kidding, haha. But more than that we've been friends for over 20 years. We've had our ups and downs of course but other than my mom I've never been with a person that long. Or rather people don't stick with me that long. One of the things that we bonded over and that we still play togther even now is our mutual love of The Legend of Zelda. She introduced it to me and ever since then I've been hooked. It brought out my sense of exploration and justice and having the courage to do things I am often too afraid to do. Oftentimes when we get together to tackle things that our anxiety turns into a big production, I like to imagine we're on an adventure in Hyrule. Then things don't seem so scary or impossible. I'm sure this can be said for Jackie too. I learned that she'd been wanting to go to this concert for 5 years! She was so excited! The music was epic but I was also overwhelmed by the amount of other people that loved Legend of Zelda too. It was kind of unreal. Because of my current burnout and anxiety Jackie took the lead with footage for this particular adventure and made an adorable vlog that perfectly captured the memory of our night out. Enjoy!

Very nice! The music and accompanying video of Link made me want to start playing the game if only for a few minutes. I like the way you captured your excitement before and after.
